Shawna Snyder has been practicing acupuncture since 2006 after earning her Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture. With nearly two decades of experience, she has worked in private practices and integrative wellness centers throughout Vermont, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

Shawna treats a wide range of conditions including pain, women’s health, fertility, stress, and overall wellness. Known for her calm and compassionate approach, she creates a relaxing and supportive environment where patients feel cared for and can achieve lasting results.

Meet Jen

Jen Etheridge became interested in the historical use of herbal medicines throughout the world while working as an Archaeologist. After working for several years in the field and studying the use of plant medicines by Native Americans she began furthering her studies with in-depth study of Western, Ayurvedic and Chinese herbalism. Jen was very impressed by the history and use of herbs in Chinese Medicine and decided to pursue the study of acupuncture to learn more.

Jen has advanced training in the use of acupuncture for digestion and dermatology. She enjoys helping patients using herbal medicine and offers both nutritional and herbal consultations along with acupuncture care.

Meet Matt

Matt began massage therapy practice in 2011 at the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, NY.

He specializes in myofascial release and deep tissue massage and works with pain and sports injuries. He also enjoys working with the subtle energies of reiki.

Matt initially fell in love with massage therapy abroad while he was stationed as a Marine in Iwakuni, Japan. He experienced great relief for stress and general wellness, benefiting from the culture of massage, reiki and shiatsu abundant in East Asian societies.

Dr. Kerry Boyle has been practicing acupuncture and East Asian medicine for 22 years. As the founder of Integrative Acupuncture since 2010, Kerry is passionate about leading a group of integrative medical providers to serve our community with natural healthcare.

Kerry is an acupuncture fertility specialist and pain management expert. She finds providing balanced treatments with traditional acupuncture, cupping and moxibustion along with modern tools like dry needling and TENS units very effective.

Meet Heidi

Heidi joins the team at IA with 11 years of experience as a Massage Therapist. A Vermont native, Heidi trained at O’Brien Aveda Institute in Shelburne, VT. There she excelled in skills like trigger point therapy, reflexology, Swedish and Deep Tissue massage.

Heidi’s passion for integrating massage therapy into medical treatment plans is evident in her post graduate, intensive studies in East Asian Bodywork. Over two years, Heidi pursued advanced training at Elements of Healing in Essex Junction, Vermont where she honed her skills in Acupressure, Amma Massage, and Zen Shiatsu.

Meet Jonathan

An athlete’s acupuncturist and our go to provider for Sports Medicine, Jonathan is a graduate of Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. Jonathan first became aware of acupuncture after several knee surgeries from his Division One, college soccer career at UNH. He had been certain he would live with chronic knee pain until he began a course of acupuncture treatments. Amazed by the reduction of pain and ability to ski and move with ease, Jonathan changed careers from hospitality to Acupuncture Medicine.

When not working with patients, find Jonathan hiking, biking or skiing with his family around the Green Mountains.

Meet Maria

Mária received her Master of Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture after four years of rigorous training. She is nationally board certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is a licensed acupuncturist in the states of VT and MA.

Mária has had the great fortune of training with world renown acupuncture specialists focusing on cancer care, children and pain. She enjoyed working as an assistant acupuncturist for the Boston Ballet, helping professional dancers reduce their pain.

Mária loves the challenge and gratification of helping people feel better. Her patients of all ages are comfortable with her gentle approach to holistic care.
